All school based training and staff development workshops are customized to meet the needs of each school and its teachers, students, and administrative staff. We understand that each school is unique and that student and faculty diversity is a strength to be built upon.
Training is specifically designed to build on the positive characteristics of each school and its personnel and maximize the learning experience with each training participant. Training services for education staff include:
• Social skill building as the “hidden curriculum” to improve classroom behavior.
• Maximizing administrative teaching during office and disciplinary referrals.
• Building Family Friendly Schools and forging stronger linkages with parents.
• Creating Safe Schools by preventing bullying and teasing.
For information on specific workshops, review the 'School Training' section.
Courage to Change provides a variety of in-service training options to agencies serving children and families.
Training and consultation services are individually designed for agencies providing:
• In-Home Family Based Programs
• Youth & Family Shelter Programs
• Foster Family Based Program
• Residential Treatment
• Parent Training Programs
With our “participant-focused training model” each person attending a workshop or seminar is provided with practical solutions to issues faced each day on the job.
